Originally known as the Aldridge Garage, the centre was founded by Billy Bunn, a first class engineer who was a drill sergeant in the 1914-18 war.
It was his meticulous attention to detail and sound engineering knowledge that formed the back-bone of the early business.
Billy retired when he was in his eighties and the business was taken over by his son-in-law Alan Collins, an ex naval engineer and trained toolmaker.
Billy's grandsons Martin and Mike Collins now run the company and as third generation owners are often surprised by the number of third generation customers they get.
Martin, who has 38 years experience in accident repairs, believes the business is based on exceeding the expectations of customers.
With Will and Jessica now part of the business as the 4th Collins generation.
